Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
at Craft Psychology

Sometimes past experiences can stay with us in ways we don’t expect—leaving us feeling tense, anxious, or stuck in old patterns. EMDR Therapy helps your brain process and reduces the intensity of your past experiences to feel more grounded and at ease in the present.

Craft proudly offers Calgary EMDR Therapy services.

What is Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing?

Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy is a well studied approach that helps children and adults feel better after scary, stressful or traumatic experiences. When a painful or upsetting experience happens, the memory of the experience sometimes stays “stuck” in the brain, causing us to continue to feel unsafe. EMDR uses  bilateral stimulation to help your brain live in the present moment, without fear of the past.

EMDR Can Help With:

  • Anxiety & Panic

  • Trauma & Fear

  • Anger

  • Nightmares

  • Grief and Loss

  • Depression

Rebca Zawde, Craft’s EMDR therapist in Calgary, will help you explore whether EMDR feels like a good fit and guide you through the process in a safe, supportive space.

We acknowledge the traditional lands of the people of the Treaty 7 Region of southern Alberta including the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Piikani, and Kainai First Nations), and the Tsuut’ina First Nation, the Stoney Nakoda (Chiniki, Bearspaw and Good Stoney First Nations). In addition to Metis Nation of Alberta, Region 3. Acknowledging the land, we inhabit and do our work on as settlers is foundational to reconciliation and decolonization.
